Every college student knows the constant stress that consumes you as another semester has passed and you're still undeclared. Let alone the fact that you probably have changed your intended major at least five times. Not to worry. I may have the answers (probably not).
College students, in most situations, must declare a major by their sophomore year. Doesn't sound to difficult. You've only spent about, $240,000 on your education thus far and only about 12 months total in the college setting and you have about 4 semesters of work in. This makes me nauseous. College is suppose to be the time of your life; fun, friends, new experiences, but this is also the time where you're suppose to be deciding what you want to do with your life after school. You could want to be a doctor of some sort which may include getting a Ph. D. or an M.D. which includes 4 or more years of schooling. You may have had enough of school at this point and just want out or you are trying to choose a profession that allows you to work directly after graduation. Either way, do you.
Don't feel stressed. Granted, this is your money, your debt, your education, so be concerned. Work hard. Find your dislikes and what you love to do. Whether it is reading books and writing papers or identifying an unknown substance in your chemistry lab. Find what makes you happy and roll with it because I am sure their is a profession for it.
Overall, enjoy your college experience because you are only here for four short years. However, start thinking about your major right away, whether you change it twenty five times or stick with the one you came in with, just make sure you're happy. Find a major that fits you, not a major you're trying to fit in.
