I want to begin by making it clear that I do not support the actions by Luke P that were televised. Anyone can see with their own two eyes that he seems crazy. However, viewers are taking their opinions one step too far, and they do deserve to be called out for their actions.
I was stalking Luke P. (from "The Bachelorette" if you live under a rock) on Instagram, and I was scrolling through the comments on his posts, and I came across hundreds of cruel comments. Most of the comments were relaying back to the show, but others were personal—more so about his religious beliefs.
LET HIM LIVE.
STOP BULLYING!!
It made me really upset because this is just a show. Like, calm down!!! Some of the comments are seriously awful, like what the heck. Relax, he isn't directly bothering you, so why are you going out of your own way to be rude?
Yes, Luke P was portrayed as a psycho, but that's reality TV for ya! FYI scenes are selected by producers. SO, yeah Luke P is portrayed as this terrible guy or the "villain," but lay off. You are only exposed to what the producers think would make the show the most dramatic.
Imagine if you went on a reality TV show and what really happened was incorrectly shown, and then viewers were attacking you online.
I think everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinion, but when you go out of your way to bully someone online when you weren't even in that situation, you're the actual psycho. That's not okay and you need to chill.
I am not defending the actions that were televised, but I don't think anyone deserves to be bullied. I personally do not believe that he is a good guy for Hannah, but regardless he doesn't deserve to be attacked online by viewers.
There are always two sides to a story, so back off.
