Be His Vessel

Ephesians 2:10

Be His Vessel

Before coming to the Lord I was a very rude sarcastic person. I always spoke negatively about others and myself. I struggled with depression very heavily and thought suicide was the only answer. I knew what alcohol tasted like before I could even drive myself to school. I was just a mess. I was a train wreck. Then the Lord hit me. The lord came and did His famous transformation like how He took Saul and made him Paul. Although, it was not as dramatic as when He knocked Saul off His horse. The Lord will transform your heart if you allow Him to.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." — Ephesians 2:10
So here's the point I came to tell you. The Lord wants to fix you. He wants to cleanse you. He wants to fight your battles. He wants to give you a new heart a heart that reflects His on. He does not expect you to get it all right. He is not mad at you He is made for you. He wants you to be His vessel that carries Him to the broken. He wants you to go onto the battlefield but He does not want you to fight because He has that covered. The Lord just needs us to be willing to step out and allow Himself to work through us.

God has really been tugging on my heart to show people love and to show them a real love. Not a love that is convenient for me but for the people I'm serving. The Lord calls us to love on others. He does not a give us a list to check off before we love them. He tells us to love.

EVERYONE and ANYONE.

Be genuine with your words. Be kind. Speak life, not death. Be intentional. The Lord will do beautiful things through you. The Lord uses broken people to save broken people. Take pride in that. Be fierce. Be brave. The Lord is on your side. The Lord is guiding your footsteps. Dive into faith.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
