All of us college girls love a good pair of leggings. Chances are we have more than a few pairs of plain black ones so we always have some to wear. They are a vital part of our wardrobe and one we would not survive without.

Now getting ready for school is not completely normal in college. We can go to class confidently knowing that everyone is going to be wearing the same t-shirt they fell asleep in the night before.

But every now and then we get this burst of motivation to get ready... kinda. Keep reading to see how you can achieve that 'I got ready' look without actually taking the time to get ready.

1. Ditch the leggings.

Yes, I said it. When you roll out of bed instead of just finding two flip flops that match and head out the door, take a few moments to swap out your beloved leggings for a denim skirt or shorts. Denim shorts or a skirt can be worn with t-shirts, blouses, crop tops, and just about anything else. They are just as versatile as those black leggings that you love, but are a little more stylish. Whatever you do... just don't overthink it.

2. Do the prep work.

What do I mean by 'prep work?' Wash your face. Brush your hair. Do a face mask before you go to bed. The works. Pamper yourself a little bit. Have a girls night and take turns painting each other's nails. Not only do you get to spend some quality time with you friends, but something as simple as painted nails seems to make us feel like we've got it much more together than we (maybe) actually do.

3. Get up and get moving.

Anyone like to workout? If so, when do you do it? Get up in the morning before you classes and get moving. Go for a run, take a class, or hit the gym. This helps you wake and gets the blood moving. Now you will not be walking in to class with bags under your eyes.

4. Do only the basic makeup.

The basics are different for everyone, but you don't need to go through your full make up routine to achieve a getting ready look. In fact, a natural look is in. A quick swipe of mascara, filling in your eyebrows, foundation, under eye concealer, and a lip moisturizer should do the trick. Maybe even add some color to your cheeks or skip the foundation all-together in order to let your skin breathe.

5. Leave your hair tousled.

Maybe you took a shower before you went to bed and didn't blow dry your hair. Thankfully, a tousled look for hair is in. Brush through it with your fingers, use a texture spray to embrace whatever texture your hair was given from the night before, and you can even loosely curl large sections to add a little more volume.

You don't have to actually spend an hour every morning getting ready. It's easier to achieve that 'I got ready' look than you think!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
