"They say that I look like a boy, or I am too masculine, too many opinions, my body is too strong,” P!nk said in a speech not too long ago about her daughter who told her that she thought she looked like a boy. But P!nk (AKA Alecia Beth Moore) refuses to let her little girl be insecure and feel ugly, instead she inspired millions by saying she continues to sell out arenas across the world, have number one albums, and fans who find her to be their hero...

“So, baby, girl,” she concluded, “we don’t change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl.”

Just from this speech, we can see why P!nk is an inspiration, and here are 6 lessons we can take from the bada$$ she is.

1. Becoming alive and fearless

P!nk never lets anyone tell her how to write her music, what to write about or how she should do her job. She just does it! She lives fearlessly in love with the world and opportunities around her. So fall in love with the world around you, fearlessly.

2. Be true and confident in yourself

There will never be a time in your life (even if you're not famous) where somebody won't judge you for how you look or act or even what you believe in. Stay true to who you are and not what others want you to be, because this world needs the one and only you in this world to show what true beauty is! As P!nk would say "f***ing perfect"

3. Understand the differences in everyone is something special

Yes, there are hundreds of different styles of clothing, cultures, beliefs, music. You name it and there are at least two different ways to see everything. But like P!nk, be confident in yourself, and love others. It's the differences in all of us that make the world the beautiful place it can be and see the amazing things we see. After all, what kind of person hates someone who loves everything and respects everyone's differences?

4. Spread love, always

There are very few things in the world everyone can understand as a whole and communicate with... one of those things is love. Love appears in everything we do. From family to friends to food to our jobs, we find love in the life around us. Spread love, tell others they are rock stars. And then remember you're one too.

5. There are no gender rules

Who says a girl can't play football and a guy can't dance in ballet? Yeah, those people that say that are scared of the beauty that both genders have to share in this world. P!nk can rock a body com red dress with heels one day and the next day go motor crossing in the dirt. There are no limitations, don't let others tell you the sky is the limit because the limit will only ever be you.

6. Make time for your dreams

Do you ever get those voices in your head telling you that you're ugly, too slow, not smart enough, not ready etc... yeah those are dream killers. P!nk always says how people make fun of her masculine looks or roughness, but do you see that stopping her? Nope! Every day she kills it with her music and contagious inspiring attitude, and that is what happens when you follow your dreams.

You get there by doing it for you, and not because of what anyone has to say or anything you might gain, except the simple fact that you lived your dream. It's the ultimate, yet hardest, life achievement.

"It's about being alive and fiesty, and not sitting down and shutting up, even if people want you to." — P!nk

THANK YOU, P!NK!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
