Life is Funny Sometimes

Life is funny when everything is great and at the same time when everything is falling apart.

Life is funny when you are having the best day ever. Life is funny when you are having the worst day ever. Life is funny when you and your best friend laugh at something stupid. Life is funny when you and your best friend get into a fight.

Life is funny when you treat someone with love and kindness. Life is funny when people treat you like crap. Life is funny when you make great grades on tests and your parents are so proud of you. Life is funny when you fail a test and they are disappointed with you.

Life is funny when you fall in love. Life is funny when you fall out of love. Life is funny when a new baby is born. Life is funny when someone passes away. Life is funny when you love your current job. Life is funny when you get fired from your job.

Life is funny when you go to school and love hanging out with your friends. Life is funny when you dread going to school because you know you'll get bullied.

Life is funny when you get a new puppy. Life is funny when the family dog passes away. Life is funny when you buy your first car. Life is funny when you crash your first car.

Life is funny when you make it funny. Life is funny when you don't make it funny. Life is funny all the time. Life is sad all the time. Life is crazy all the time!

The definition of funny is causing laughter or amusement Laughter is the best medicine!

Somehow in all of these crazy moments, we find a way to laugh about it. We find our own ways to cope with all things. That's just the human in us. In all of these moments, we share all of these emotions.

I think about that movie Inside Out because it is so accurate to what our real emotions are like. You know at the end when sadness and joy come together into one memory. That's just how life is. A sad moment can turn into a happy moment in the blink of an eye!

I always hear "don't take life too seriously", and I understand what it truly means. When you take life too seriously, you hurt. And hurting comes with pain, and no one wants to feel pain. Sometimes life is most certainly not funny. We all have our bad days. I'm not saying don't cry. Cry a river sweetheart! I cry all the time!

I read somewhere that showing all of your emotions is healthy. Sometimes you can't hold it in. What I am saying is that we only get one shot at it, so why not just take life easy and make it more amusing. Let's just take a deep breath and laugh about it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
