Facebook and Instagram get boring after a while, so I headed to the App Store to find some other, more useful apps. I have all of the apps on this list downloaded onto my phone and I use each one of them basically everyday. I’ve included every kind of app from shopping to health and wellness, and I’m pretty sure you need these apps in your life.
1. Amazon
If you are anything like me, adding unnecessary things into your cart on Amazon is an obsession. With the app, you can order anything you want with one click. The Fed-Ex person will probably be dropping stuff off at your door every other day.
2. Starbucks
Listen up, coffee-lovers. You are missing out if you don’t have the Starbucks app because you can earn free drinks. That’s right, all you have to do is buy a Starbucks gift card and connect it to the app. Then every time you scan the barcode on your phone to pay, you get points that add up to a free food or drink reward!
3. Daily Horoscope
I believe in astrology and I like to think this app predicts my life everyday. There’s a lot that this horoscope app has to offer. You can read about your personality traits and how your astrology sign deals with areas like family, work and love.
It even calculates your compatibility with other signs. Whether or not you believe it is up to you, but I think it is interesting and I love reading it every day and seeing how accurate it is.
4. Target
Who else goes into Target with the intention of buying 2 necessary things then leaves with 2 swimsuits, a desk, and 6 candles? It happens to all of us, but if you have the app downloaded you can find coupons for all of that stuff!
You can save coupons for hundreds of items in the store while you are shopping around for all of those really cute things you don’t need.
5. A news app
You have to stay informed in this day and age. Luckily, it is really easy to if you have an app that sends you the most important headlines of the day.
Download whatever your favorite news outlet is, and if you really want to be “woke,” search for your local news stations app to be in the know about the action in your neck of the woods.
6. Duolingo
I find this app so amazing and it’s one of my favorite apps on my phone. With Duolingo, you can learn a new language. It feels kind of like you’re playing a game, but you’re actually learning to read and speak any language you want. It takes time and dedication, but it makes traveling abroad a lot easier.
7. AccuWeather
The weather app that comes already on your iPhone just doesn’t cut it. AccuWeather gives you so much more in-depth information about the weather.
For example, it tells you minute by minute when the rain will start and if it will be light drizzles or heavy downpours. This app also gives you updates about weather threats like snow storms or tropical storms.
8. Headspace
It’s kind of ironic to have a meditation app on your phone because phones are anything but calming. But this app is so important to try out because it trains you on clearing your mind and eliminating stress.
It only takes 5-10 minutes and it feels great to de-clutter your thoughts. Plus, the voice that guides your mediation has a British accent and it is so soothing!
9. Sworkit
I heard about Sworkit on one of my favorite shows, Shark Tank, and I’m not sure if anyone invested in the app, but I downloaded it out of curiosity and I love it! Sworkit is a app for working out and it gives you exercise circuits for yoga, strength training, cardio, and stretching.
It works for anyone and everyone because it gives you video tutorials on how to do the exercises correctly and you don’t even need to go to the gym, just a open space!
