Life Goes On

Things Change

It’s hard

When you feel something that hurts you so much but you don’t want to bother others with your problems

It’s hard

Opening up to someone who has never let you in on their own lives

It’s hard

Seeing everyone around you genuinely happy, so you act the same

It’s hard

Losing people who you thought would never leave

But the hardest part is,

Not knowing what comes next.

Not knowing if your making the right decisions

Not knowing if someone else could make you happier than you are right now

And not knowing what the future holds

Life is scary, you know?

One day everything seems perfect

You’re smiling, laughing, and it feels as if everything is in place

But the next day is different

The next day you feel pain, and loneliness, and sadness

And that’s okay too

Everything is temporary and nothing lasts forever

Happiness is not a destination, it’s a feeling

I believe the best feeling in life is reassurance

Knowing people care about you

Knowing people are proud of you

Knowing your doing something right

What more could you ask for?

And the people who make you laugh the most in your life,

Those are the most important ones

Because laughter is the best medicine

Find something to be grateful for every single day

There is so much to be happy about

Remember that a bad day does not mean a bad life

Bad days are what make the good ones 10x better

And don’t ever forget how important your family is too

So thank god every day for them

and for all of your friends, because they are your second family

As you get older you will realize that your circle will become smaller

But that is also a part of life

Years go by faster and faster

As each day goes by you never see a difference

But one day you look back and everything is different

And you realize so much has changed

And you see that you are no longer anything like the person you used to be

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
