If you've ever seen Parks and Recreation, you're probably a fan of the famous character, Tom Haverford. Played by Aziz Ansari, Haverford is a hilarious, catchy, and sometimes cute addition to the Parks and Rec cast. If you're familiar with this, you also know about his unique, yet clever life advice. Here are Tom Haverford's top 10 life advice quotes:

1. "Is it a banger?"

Giphy

Because why waste your time listen to bad music?

2. "Everywhere I go, I'm walking on red carpet."

Giphy

Genius.

3. "Sometimes you gotta work a little so you can ball a lot."

Giphy

If there's one thing we know about Tom Haverford, it's that he hates working and loves to party! Maybe we all should start living by this concept.

4. "Behind every successful man is me, smiling and taking partial credit."

Giphy

5. "When life gives me lemons..."

Giphy

"Starting now, when life gives me lemons I'm going to slice them up into wedges and throw them into vodka tonics, which I will then sip in a burlesque nightclub, that I co-own with actor Taye Diggs and two of the Pussycat Dolls."

6. "Haverford rule number six."

Giphy

Good point, Tom.

7. "Love fades away, but things last forever."

Giphy

Screw love, just buy a ton of stuff.

8. "Justin is hip."

Giphy

Justin Bieber, of course.

Haverford is all about being "hip" and "cool." Certainly words of wisdom to live by.

9. "I have never taken the high road, but I tell other people to 'cause then there's more room for me on the low road."

Giphy

Again, genius, Tom.

10. "TREAT YO SELF!"

Giphy

What would life advice by Tom Haverford be without "Treat yourself!" Literally useless, that's what.

What's life without treating yourself every once in awhile? Useless.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
