A Letter To The Impractical Jokers

Dear Impractical Jokers,

Who knew that four friends from high school could bring so much joy to so many people. Starting as The Tenderloins comedy troupe, you have been making people smile and laugh for a long time, and I thank you for that. It is really hard to get so many people to bond over one common interest, but through the power of laughter, you have done just that.

You guys have gotten me through so much and were a constant light in my ever- changing world throughout middle school, high school, and soon, college. Even if I was having a week from hell, I could trust that for at least a half an hour on Thursdays, I would be given the chance to relax and laugh, and that prospective promise was enough to get me through the week.

I tuned in for your very first episode and am still following along now. I watched Q, Murr, and Sal get tattoos. I watched Murr get shot up with Novocaine and Joe fearlessly tackle each and every punishment given to him. I feel like part of your group (even if it's from the safety of my own couch), and that is really rare for a television show.

Fast forward to me going to my first show of your tour. It was absolute magic. I was watching the four friends on a real stage, right in front of me. My dad and I were star struck and laughing incredibly loud from our seats. It was one of the most fun nights of my life, and I cannot wait to go to another show in December.

I'm sure you hear stories on how much your show has impacted certain people, but your show actually brought me and one of my best friends together. The first ever time we hung out, we watched a three hour marathon of season two. We wrote Murr on Instagram and he answered (thanks, Murr)! We had so much fun and are still friends to this day. I have all of my interactions with you guys from Twitter and Instagram hanging in my room. You really have something special.

Your show makes the world seem a little funnier. My week gets a little brighter. In a time in my life of so much uncertainty, it is so comforting to rely on the routine that comes with watching your show.

So, thank you. Thank you for making such an amazing show and for working so hard even when you are not filming to keep up with such a strenuous schedule on the road. Thank you for making us laugh even when you may be too tired to function. Because even if you do not get to always see the effect your show has on people, trust me when I say it has at least reached me.

Here's to another laughter and fun filled five years!

Yours truly,

Your number one fan (Chloe)!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
