Second Semester High School Senior,

Congratulations! You’re almost done with what you have assumed to be the most important 4 years of your life up until this point. Your life has been built in a bubble, and whether you’re ready or not, that bubble is about to burst. Looking back on your high school experience, it probably feels like it went by in the blink of an eye. But believe me when I say, your 4 years spent in college will go by even faster than high school did.

Right now, you are probably very comfortable with where your life is at. You have your group of friends, you have your sports teams or clubs, and the thought of any of that changing is quite nerve-wracking. It is perfectly normal to be scared of these changes, but don't let that fear stand in your way.

You cannot even begin to imagine the amount of opportunities that you will be presented with once you get out of high school. You will learn more about yourself in the first few months away at college than you have your entire four years in high school. You'll meet your best friends, you'll have professors that make you want to pull your hair out, and ones that you love, you'll fall in love with your school and the experiences you have in the four years you spend there.

If you were to fast-forward four years from where you are right, now you may a completely different person, and that is perfectly okay. College is the time in your life to experience growth, change and really find out who you are. Right now you probably believe that the things you have experienced in high school will define you for the rest of your life, and they will not.

When you were starting your freshmen year in high school I'm sure everyone told you that the next four years would go by fast. People will tell you the exact same thing about college, except this time it is extremely accurate. Now that I am about half way through my last semester in college, I can attest to the fact that these have been not only the fastest, but also the best four years of my life. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way, and as cliché as it sounds, make the most of the next four years. Looking back on my four years in college, I would not do a single thing differently, but if I could, I would definitely go back to freshmen year simply so I could relive these four years again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
