Dear Sisters in Christ, being a girl has always been hard and there is no doubt that girls in the twenty-first century still have a lot of struggles just like everyone else, but being a conservative girl in 2017 is getting harder and harder and is about to get even worse. All around us we are being fed the idea that keeping those "Christian values" we hold so dear is wrong or outdated. But you need to remember that those values that you hold so dear to your heart were put there by the Holy Spirit to guide you through right and wrong.

Remember who you dress for. You don't dress to impress the world with your body. you dress for you and most importantly for God. Don't feel forced to wear or not wear anything you are not comfortable wearing or anything that does not bring glory to God.

Don't let the world force you into supporting ideas or campaigns your values don't support. If you don't like campaigns like "free the nipple" don't feel compelled to support them just because everyone around you says this is what the norm should be. Remember your values in every situation and measure them against any such campaign, if it doesn't bring glory to God, If it is not right, then don't support it.

Don't be afraid to fight for your beliefs, as obsolete as the world would like to paint them they are still your beliefs and it is up to you too keep them alive and well. If you believe in life for every human being from the moment they are conceived then stand up for it and stand up tall and proud. Yes, there are those who will try to bring you down for it and yes, there are those who will look at you differently and treat you differently for having the morals and beliefs you have and that is alright. Keep your mind in your God and in your beliefs, open your ears and eyes to those who share your beliefs, find a support system and you'll soon realize that those voices telling you to stop and change to accommodate to them are not as strong as they seem.

You are not a perfect woman and that is okay. Part of being a conservative person, a person of God, brings about a set of standards that you will be held accountable for following. But at the end of the day, you are still human and you will still fall short. Don't worry, though, every woman and every man in history have failed, everyone has sinned at some point, we have all fallen short. Stand up, take whatever consequences come your way, and keep going. Just because you did something wrong, just because you sinned, or just because you regret making a certain decision (or decisions) doesn't mean you are forever broken.

Most importantly remember that you are not alone. The world seems to be on a mission to make us feel like we are all freaks of nature. The media loves to portray conservative values as dying old-fashioned values and is constantly bringing and building up those voices that love to make us feel like there is something wrong with us for not believing or acting the way they do. But remember that you are not alone, there are thousands of thousands of brave, brilliant, beautiful women all around the world who believe just what you believe in. Women who fight for the right of life for everyone, women who dress with "modesty", women who believe in staying pure until marriage, God fearing and bible believing women are all over the world and they are looking for others like them just like you are looking for them.

My beautiful sisters in christ don't ever let the world convince you that there is something wrong with you. Remember whose you are and to whom you serve; to him, you are worth more than all the gold ans silver in the world. This world can say whatever they want to you and about you but you are not theirs and they can't change a thing about you. You are priceless, you are untouchable.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
