“Some people are only meant to be apart of your life for a season.”

Isn’t it strange how you can see someone every single day and how a person can be so important in your life, but then all the sudden, you look back and realize they aren’t a part of your life anymore…

It’s crazy to think how someone, who knew your darkest secrets, your deepest fears, and the core of who you are, is today a distant stranger.

Friendships and relationships. That’s how they work sometimes.

We move on. We get carried away in our busy lives. Some personalities are just opposites.

However, sometimes we miss the memories.

You remember the good moments, you remember the bad.

Sometimes, we get a chance to reconnect.

But… you realize it will never be the same.

It is the realization of how different we have become and the different paths of life we live.

The truth is.. some people aren’t meant to stay forever.

We may bitterly ask, why were they even here in the first place then?

Well, maybe they were in your life for a specific purpose. Maybe to teach you something? To make memories? To help you overcome? To strengthen and encourage you?

And now that time has passed.

Learning to LET GO.

It is okay to grow apart. It is okay for a relationship to change. It's all about letting go….

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
