Your League of Legends Champions Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Don't take this combinations duo bot. Well...maybe the second one. Unless you hate yourself then take the rest.

I promised myself I would never do an article on Zodiac Signs, but I broke down and here I am. But unlike most that focus on T.V. shows or comic books, I decided to take it to video games and what better game to do than the one that is the most polarizing? Also, as a sidebar, I focus on some of the negative elements for some of the signs, and I am by no means in expert in Astrology. However, I have been reading about for the past three hours which is the same amount of net time I spend on my finals.

1. Pisces FEBRUARY 19 - MARCH 20

Sona/ Jhin

Pisces are artistic and they love the arts of some kind. If you're a Pisces then you can probably relate to the instrumental skills of Sona or to the beauty of the world that Jhin sees (although you might want some mental help cause he can be a lil crazy). Sona is he quiet side of Pisces while Jhin is...well you know, the sniper who shoots people side of Pisces.

2. Aries MARCH 21 - APRIL 19

Vi/ Draven

Aries are extremely impulsive and highly confident. As a result, some take that confidence too far with Draven. Others are just leaders and generally rule breakers (or face breakers) and fall under Vi with sarcasm and charisma. But don't take this combination duo bot late, please. ESPECIALLY IN PROMOS, WHEN I AM TRYING TO FINALLY GET OUT OF SILVER.

3.Taurus APRIL 20 - MAY 20

Cassiopeia/ Leona

Taurus tend to care about themselves and like to do things that benefit them. If you know about Cassiopeia's lore you know that she fits the bill. Snake lady will betray you faster than a toxic teammate. On the flip side, Taurus can be a very reliable teammate who is responsible and devoted. So we have Leona, the woman with a shield and a plan to get first blood. Taurus comes in many variations, so it can be hard to pinpoint which one you exactly are.

4. Gemini MAY 21 - JUNE 20

Gnar/ Ahri

Gemini can be alluring and they are known as "two-faced." With that in mind, we know that Gnar is the yordle who likes to be normal Gnar and Mega Gnar. On one hand we have one that is really cute and loveable and you kinda just wanna keep him as a pet, on the other we have this beast that's ult can stun a whole enemy team into oblivion and getcha that win for your final promo game. The alluring side comes out in Ahri as we all know through her lines "come play with me." Gemini can be this sexual being, or this split personality that can be hard to track. On an unrelated note, I would AFK if this was a duo bot lane.

5. Cancer JUNE 21 - JULY 22

Amumu/ Ezreal

At first I thought that Cancer was going to be easy to come up with, but when looking through the champions I found it rather hard to come up with two. Amumu is the main one here: sensitive and pessimistic, Amumu embodies what it is like to be a Cancer. I mean come on this little jungler has an ability WHERE HE CRIES. Legit tears cause damage, what are they made of acid? But I am not here to talk about the toxicity of water in mummies. On the flip side, we have Ezreal who has the positive characteristics of Cancer with tenacity and loyalness. I am trying to think of a pun with that phrase "who needs a map" but I just can't find it. That was bad.

6. Leo JULY 23 - AUGUST 22

Zed/ Braum

So here's the thing: Leos come either as warm-hearted, or as self-centered. Braum is first of the two, caring and being supportive (pun intended of course), and Zed is the second, acting out of malice because he is self-centered. One cares more about other people and is a natural born leader out of love, the other care more about themselves and is a natural born leader out of fear. Zed doesn't even really lead, he just has his shadows following him but they are a part of him so it's really a one-man act but still. The shadows are in the dark.

7. Virgo AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 22

Caitlyn/ Soraka

Virgos are really good at a few things. They excel in kindness, analytics, and are dedicated to their work. That's why we have Caitlyn who is a sniper making her incredibly analytical because you have to have the right angles and the cosines of where the bullet will bounce with certain speeds. Soraka represents the kindness, giving her own life to help others out (even though she hits people with stars to gain back life, pft bitch). However both represent their hardworking attribute. Caitlyn deeply cares about being a detective, or in this case a zoner, and Soraka only wants her lane partner to survive. Also RIP old Soraka with lock on silence that gave partners mana.

8. Libra SEPTEMBER 23 - OCTOBER 22

Kindred/ Illaoi

Libras are known as being "fair." Kindred, the literal representation of choosing your death, treats you fairly. Run away and you get a painful death, or accept your fate and you get a peaceful one. I mean I guess death isn't always fair but you know League of Legends lore doesn't have to make sense. One day they will rewrite a whole story about Azir and Sivir but that's a whole other article. Kindred are the two extremes in one representing this kind of balance theme that the character is based around, making them a Libra. Illaoi is similar in these regards, and also has the mentality of diplomacy. Her personality is... well somewhat not existent to be honest, but what is there seems to be an attitude of grace and fairness. Even though having tentacles follow you around like a Vel'Koz support isn't really fair in game we can pretend it is.

9. Scorpio OCTOBER 23 - NOVEMBER 21

Morgana/ Lux

I didn't choose these two because of the Q combo they have where they stun mo-fos (or root if you're one of those people) for days, but because they are representations of Scorpio's good and bad traits. Scorpios tend to have mistrust, jealousy, and violent tendencies which is obviously Lux. The other spectrum that is represented is resourcefulness, courage, and the value of knowledge which, in turn is obviously Morgana--okay, that was joke people I promise I play League of Legends, although not well--but seriously Lux is the kind one who loves to learn things can will even teach you about a double rainbow as her "joke." And Morgana... yeah she stuns - oh I am sorry - roots you for three whole seconds.

10. Sagittarius NOVEMBER 22 - DECEMBER 21

Talon/ Annie

Sagittarius can be kind of cold. I say this being a Sagittarius myself, and knowing that I am a very cold-hearted person that it can be true for some. As a result, pretty much every assassin can fit this bill, but I think that Talon is a more powerful representation of the cold killer. I mean--seriously, he just doesn't care. He'll appear right behind you, or anyone in League with his E, and before you know it, your screen is gray and you're left wondering why you went mid-lane Sona. Annie showcases the other side of the personality, however with a low attention span and the will to say or do anything without regards to others (partly because she is a child). She isn't all that bad though, as Annie likes to travel, and well I guess Talon does to with this new rework of hopping over everything... right?

11. Capricorn DECEMBER 22 - JANUARY 19

Garen/ Fiora

Garen and Fiora both represent Capricorn because they are incredibly serious. Some of the most serious in all of League as Capricorn is the most serious in all of the Zodiac. Fiora has the negative traits of being stubborn when it comes to forgiveness and her honor, and she can be quite patronizing--but she also shows a disciplined side, especially through her lore about her dad and blah, blah, blah. Garen cares a lot about his homeland (he says it every three seconds) to the point where we can see his dedication. He is serious unless you put him to dance, and you can just disrespect the enemy team when you get first blood with your Q rush.

12. Aquarius JANUARY 20 - FEBRUARY 18

Heimerdinger/ Corki

Aquarius has an incredibly vast basin of knowledge. They care about intellect and brains which we can see through Heimerdinger's little stupid fu- I mean little turrets. Corki, is somewhat in the same boat, but he appears more-so eccentric and strange which is another quality of Aquarius. Especially being a Champion that deals magic damage with autoattacks that scales with physical damage. Either way, they are both really unique in the League, making them weirder than the rest of the champions. Just please don't play Heim against me. I will RAGE.

Do you agree with your Champion listing? Do you think that there should be another Champion listed for the sign? Let me know down below, I am curious to see what you all think! But seriously don't play the donger against me.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

19 Lessons I'll Never Forget from Growing Up In a Small Town

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Dealing with the inevitable realities of college life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
