College Professors: The Lazy Way Of 'Teaching'

If I am paying to sit in a class, shouldn't the professor be the one teaching me?

College is full of so many different kinds of professors. You have the one who is too smart and expects that students know everything and can't explain the curriculum to those who don't. There's the perfect professor who loves their job, knows how to teach and everyone gets along with. But then you have the one everyone gets along with but couldn't teach a course if their life depended on it. The professor who doesn't speak the native language of the university and students can't understand. Then you have the TA reliant professor who basically just signs off your grade at the end of the semester. And lastly, and certainly my least favorite, the professor who only uses online applications and software to "teach", yet you have in-person classes.

Professors who depend on online resources in their classes, I find, are lazy and don't want to do the job they are paid to do. As a professor, he or she should be the lead teachers of the class. The online resources should be extra (unless necessary for the type of curriculum) and not required. Also, students already pay ridiculous amounts to take the course, they shouldn't have to pay another two hundred dollars for an access code to take quizzes and do homework that the professor was too lazy to create themselves.

This day in age, online resources have been completely taken advantage of by professors. Just like students, professors have become reliant on the internet to do their work for them. And what makes this problem worse, is these professors don't know how to use the software they require students to use half the time. As a student, that makes it incredibly difficult to communicate technical issues and questions to the professor since they have no clue what I would be talking about.

If I am required to sit in a class and participate for fifteen weeks, a professor should also be required to do the same. Professors should not be allowed to required these online programs to run their course if everything on them they could have done themselves. Students are paying top dollar to get the education they require for their future, professors should have to apply the same effort as the students.
