Forget New York, With All Its Endless Sights, Sounds, And Adventures–Las Vegas Is The True 'City That Never Sleeps'
Cristian Alvarez

I've truly been blessed to explore and travel all over the United States. This country offers a lot of beautiful sights and must-see destinations. In my years of traveling, one place I've frequently visited is the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. I can't remember the last time I went an entire year without taking a trip to Sin City. I tend to visit Vegas around three to four times a year—it's turned into a family tradition of taking a weekend getaway to the entertainment capital of the world whenever we have the chance.

The city is probably one of the most iconic locations in the world. People from across the globe come to Vegas to see everything the city has to offer. Las Vegas is the one place you always see and hear about in the movies or magazines. The place where celebrities and famous superstars come to shine under the bright lights. It's the place where some people turn their rags into riches (or empty pockets) depending on their luck.

I could never get tired of being in Las Vegas. No matter how many times I visit, I feel like I never have enough time. There are endless things to do. I'm always surprised by the impression that people have heard of Las Vegas is a place only for adults. I think there's something fun for people of all ages to experience within Sin City. You can eat at endless world class restaurants or buffets, shop till you drop at countless malls and outlet centers, watch plenty of spectacular shows or gamble across the various five-star casinos. You could visit museums, arcade arenas, sporting events, and concerts. You could spend all your money in one night or over five nights. There are no limits in this town.

Las Vegas pretty much feels like a second home to me. I know the city fairly well both inside and out. I'm not joking when I tell people I'd live in Vegas without hesitation. It's just a very special place for me. I've spent some of my fondest memories in life in Las Vegas. From birthday celebrations to family get-together events, I feel like I have been there for every occasion.

Despite the amount of time I have spent in Vegas, there are plenty of areas yet to be explored. I think its one of those cities that has a bucket list of things to do and then some. It's been great to look back on some of the memories I have tied to Vegas. I could not have thought of a better place to spend some of my days in this famous town.

It feels like I've become a local whenever I'm in town. Getting to know Las Vegas has been extremely useful. I constantly bump into people who've never been and are planning to go for the first time. This is where my inner tour guide unfolds and I dish out my recommendations. If you ever needed to talk about Vegas do not hesitate to reach out. I've had my fair share of episodes where the saying, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" gains its notorious reputation. What I enjoy about the city the most is the culture built around Las Vegas. It's a world of its own with all sorts of faces from all kinds of places. You literally come across each and every type of person. My perfect analogy for Sin City is it's like being in a "Where's Waldo" book. Everyone is there for the same purpose: to have a good time.

As life goes on I'm excited to see what other memories I can create with others in the city that I think truly never sleeps.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
