Children should never be the subject of your attacks or jokes.

Keep Children Safe And Protected

Children are off limits. Let me repeat that again for those who don't get it. Children are off limits. It doesn't matter if it's someone's child who is always in the public eye. It could be a celebrity's child, a politician's child or just an everyday Joe's child - they are still off limits. Child actors and stars are off limits. Anything that involves anyone under the age of 18 should never be the center of anyone's attack.

Now, this goes without saying, children are not exempt from criticism for what they do and say if it's problematic or dangerous to themselves and others. It's okay to correct a child if they are saying something that is wrong or misinformed. It's not okay to attack a child who is misinformed on something, as adults it is our job to correct any type of problem that a child causes. There are ways to do that without attacking them.

Recently, we've seen children come under more and more attacks by adults. Barron Trump being one of those, a ten year old boy is being made fun of and called names because of who is father is. Malia and Sasha Obama faced the same attacks when their father was in office. Often we see children thrown into the world of entertainment and then torn apart by adults. Chelsea Clinton came to the defense of Barron on Facebook after a tweet about Barron went viral. Chelsea was not exempt from criticism when her father was in the White House as well.

The problem with making fun of or attacking children is simply this. What you say and do to a child sticks with them forever. You may not think that it does but if you were to ask anyone who was viciously attacked as a child they'll be able to tell you what was said and what it was said in response to. We see it happen with child actors all the time

People may think making a comment about a child isn't that big of a deal and it doesn't affect them but in reality it does. Ask any child what's one thing that was said to them when they were younger that they remember and they'll tell you a comment made by an adult that wasn't entirely nice. I know I remember the bad things said more than the good. A comment made by someone who was close to me is a prime example: they told me I would never get into college and that's stuck with me, even 4 years later. Sure said they love me and stuff like that but that one comment they made will stick with me forever. The same goes for child stars or any child, they know there's good about them but them being called names and made fun of by adults are what they'll remember.

Children should always be off limits. Whether it's a child of a celebrity or a politician or even just a random person's child. Just because you have a problem with a child's parents does not mean the child should be bought into the feud. Attacking children leaves damaging effects and sometimes can shape who they become as a person later on in life. One comment can make all of the difference.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
