10 Pubs In Ireland You Need To Drink At On Your Next European Vacation

In This Article:

As you may know, Ireland has an incredible range of beer products. That was something I was looking forward to on my epic vacation to the country. (A vacation I've written plenty about already).

Now I'm over 21 so I don't have to worry about buying and consuming beer, but for any readers who are in the purgatory age range between 18 and 21, Ireland is THE place to go to drink.

If you ever happen to have the fortune of visiting the beautiful country, here are 10 amazing bars and pubs where you can drink and have the best of times!

1. The Temple Bar - Dublin

The Legend of Temple...

The signature bar of Dublin, The Temple Bar is about as good as it gets when it comes to meeting Irish people and experiencing the culture. Feel free to come down, chug a Guinness and sit next to a statue of James Joyce.

2. Top of The Guinness Factory - Dublin

Even the Obamas were there!

The Guinness factory is not just a fantastic museum, but going to the very top of the building leads to free Guinness! What's better than that?

3. Matt The Millers - Kilkenny

Walk across the nice bridge and gaze across the pond as you enter and exit Matt The Millers, and look out for drunk naked men jumping off the bridge!

4. Beachcove Cafe - Waterville, Kerry

While walking on the Charlie Chaplin Walk you'll see the Beachcove Cafe. We went there on the day some wedding happened in England.

5. Gus O'Çonnor's Pub - Doolin

The Pub of the Cliffs

Once you're done walking around the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, come on down to the chill at the pub and tell stories about the beauty they witnessed.

6. O'Connor's Famous Pub - Galway

The Junk Museum

Gus O'Connor is so famous he has TWO pubs named after him. This popular pub in Galway has a bunch of antiques and junk items all over, making you weirdly comfortable to the atmosphere.

7. The Shire - Killarney

Another great Lord of The Rings trilogy!

I didn't know how good the Ireland trip was gonna be until I heard that we'll be near a pub in Killarney called The Shire. This pub was inspired by JRR Tolkien's novels and Peter Jackson's film adaptations of The Hobbit and Lord of The Rings, what more can I say?!

8. The Skeff Bar - Galway

Center city Galway

Nearby the docks of Galway, this place has great wings. And nearby this pub is a bust of one of America's most famous Irishmen: John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

9. O'Sullivan's Court House Pub - Dingle

Leaving a mark

A small pub in Dingle with nice live music and odd bathrooms. Also I got to write my name on the wall! Philly Philly!

10. The Kings Head - Galway

Not much else to say about this.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
