To iPhone Or Not To iPhone?

Has Apple ruined my life?

Unfortunately for me, and my dad, I've been sucked into the world of Apple. I've had two iPhones so far and I don't really see it ending anytime soon. Or so I thought?

My favorite thing about iPhones is the messages and how Apple keeps doing things to reinvent the way messages are sent. With the handwritten messages and the digital touch messages, saying what you really mean is a lot easier! The thing I also hate about this is that the colors of your messages when you have an iPhone, for some people anyway, determine who your friends are. I've actually heard people say "don't talk to me if your messages aren't blue."

As everyone who reads the trash that I write knows, I love music more than anything. So naturally, as many people do, I listen to music on my phone. I love music so much that last year I bought myself Beats headphones. I love music so much that I have a subscription to Apple Music AND Spotify. But what does this have to do with the iPhone you ask? Well, I'm still upset about them removing the headphone jack. I get that everything is switching to wireless now, but I loved when they changed the shape of the headphones and now I don't wanna get rid of mine. I have wireless beats so I get the wireless trend but Bluetooth does a number on my battery plus earpods are too tiny to be wireless.

Unlike everyone who ran out to get the iPhone 7, I wanted to wait to see what Apple was going to do about people having to choose whether to listen to music or charge their phone. But now, with the iPhone 8, you don't have to make that outrageous choice! (I also didn't have an eligible upgrade at the time and who pays for a new phone out of pocket anyway??)

Now my only choice is to iPhone 8 or to iPhone X? I'm slightly afraid of this new facial recognition feature and am totally fine with just giving my fingerprint for the trillionth time. I have this fear that my phone won't recognize me without makeup or in certain lighting. Also, I've just gotten so attached to having a home button to tap that I don't know if I could make the change? Lastly, both of these iPhones now have wireless charging. This something that Samsung has had for a little while but is new to Apple. I love the idea and I'm amazed by it. But, the fact that the back of these iPhones is also now glass makes me terrified to get one. My iPhone 6s screen is shattered as we speak, so having glass on the front AND back of a phone in the hands of a person that falls at least once a day is beyond dangerous.

However, all of the new camera features and the high resolution have me sucked in and the prospect of taking amazing pictures on my phone and sharing them with everyone I know is alluring.

Should I get an iPhone 8? Should I go big or go home and get the iPhone X? Should I say "screw you Apple" and get a Samsung Galaxy S8? Someone help me, the possibilities are endless.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
