Poetry On Odyssey: Immaculate

Immaculate civilization;
The slaughtered horses sent to war
Will never be delivered compensation
To their families afar
The fearful eye of the animal
Obscures the guise of harnessing emotion
To exist in a nonexistent plane
For existence means everything.

Immaculate conception;
Taken from their warm stomachs,
Their mothers will reach out to grasp but cling to their deception
And feed lies down their gullets
Menacing pride, cheerful joy
Manic peering down the windowsill
Mother's lisp clears the whole room
But you are still here, with her.

Immaculate division;
The babes are sent to the coach
For their yearly inspection
The ruler will pervert the broach
That protects the vulnerability
Which encapsulates their existence
The perversion becomes concrete
And they are groomed at birth

Immaculate emasculation;
The sawed-off limbs
Leaves the Man to wear a falsification
The identity is battered and limited
To non-motile constraints
His smile widens as the clouds spiral
Around Him
Since He is the only existence

Immaculate crucifixion;
Over the clouds, the hearts are crossed
The eyes are blinded and turned to fixation,
For the soul's value is lost
To the observer, the Man is not more
Than an empty glass of water.
The brain relaxes into its skull
And melts into the chest cavity.

Immaculate emotion;
Heals the battered and bruised
The touch of the state has proved His devotion.
The heavy hearts have gained a yellow hue.
Over and over the loss will be substantial
Over and over they will value property
Over freedom of the one who provides
Over the children that must die.

Immaculate fanatic;
The eclipsed broken hearted
Let's the crowd resemble motionless static
The dreams are never started
Only the most true
Will become nothing and like it
Horrors of filth and wretched guts
Fill the stadium with cremated fans.

Immaculate seduction;
Do not threaten those who are alone
The heads of the erection
The hands are a phone.
Brain matter on the textbook.
The laid-out body of the Woman
Caresses the mind of the yearner.
He is then sent to war.

Immaculate election;
The divide will conquer humanity
The grim truth will influence the reception
And will decrease the range of decency
Please do not fret for this is the process
The division of the world will make it easier
To guide the knife down the middle
Of all Americans.

Immaculate objectification;
The pounds of waste is used as currency
The daughters are of the primal disposition
To the Men who rule currently
Oh, heart and lungs!
Fill them with water!
Let the skinned bird fly!
Let the amputated antelope run!
Let the limbless man dream!
For the eyes from the sky are watching us!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
