SpongeBob SquarePants was the best show of my childhood.

This show shaped me into the sarcastic person with a dry sense of humor that I am today. Each episode held new nautical nonsense that entertained and made you happy as kid, but now that you're an adult, you can appreciate the genius of this series. The writers of this show showed us what real life was like, while keeping us entertained. I can't tell you how many times I've related something from SpongeBob to my adult life.

Here are 15 times SpongeBob taught us about how real adult life is.:

1. Season 1 Episode 5a - Pizza Delivery

As an adult, you have a job to do and you need to do it! (Even if you must ride a boulder to get there!)

2. Season 1 Episode 7a - Hall Monitor

Don't let power get to your head, you'll end up destroying the city.

3. Season 2 Episode 18a - Sailor Mouth

You probably shouldn't say, "Oh *dolphin noise*!" in a public place.

4. Season 3 Episode 7b - Can You Spare a Dime?

Two lessons can be learned from this episode. 1. Don't accuse someone of something you don't have proof of. 2. Don't take advantage of the hospitality of your friends.

5. Season 2 Episode 15b - Band Geeks

If we all work together, things might go a little easier.

6. Season 3 Episode 6b - One Krabs Trash

Don't lose yourself in fads! You don't want to end up stealing a rare, novelty drinking hat from Smitty Werben Man Jensen's grave just to make a quick buck. Also, remember to be aware of floating shopping lists. They're the real enemies.

7. Season 2 Episode 9a - Survival of the Idiots

Don't be like Dirty Dan and Pinhead Larry. Stealing will always be bad.

8. Season 2 Episode 31a - Mermaid Man and Branacle Boy III

Try to do the right thing even if it's frustrating! In the end, you'll be glad you did it!

9. Season 2 Episode 14b - Frankendoodle

Not all of your ideas will be good ones.

10. Season 2 Episode 16a - Graveyard Shift

Don't take out the trash at night. If this episode isn't motivation enough, I don't know what is.

11. Season 2 Episode 20a - Squid on Strike

Stand up for what you believe in!

12. Season 3 Episode 12a - Chocolate with Nuts

Entrepreneurship is great, but do it ethically. Don't deceive an old lady fish who is nothing but a dried up spine into buying a chocolate bar.

13. Season 3 Episode 16b - I Had an Accident

Don't let the world change how you live your life! You shouldn't live in your pineapple in fear.

14. Season 3 Episode 9b - Rock-a-Bye Bivalve

Help someone in need! Even if it's something as simple as giving someone a break from work instead of watching someone get hit in the head with a coconut on TV.

15. Season 3 Episode 17b - The Camping Episode

Take precauations and don't be a *dolphin noise* hole when people try to help you. Listen to those around you and maybe you won't get mauled by a metaphorical Sea-Bear and Sea-Rhinoceros.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
