I want to travel, but how?

Lots and lots of planning goes into traveling when you are not able bodied

I want to travel, but how?

Lately, I have been asked the question if I wanted to travel abroad at some point in my college career. I 100% would, if I can find a way- meaning how can one travel if they are in a wheelchair? As a kid, I have always wanted to go see the world and then some but never did I thought I would encounter a problem on how I was going to be able to do that. It will never be a breeze traveling if you are not able bodied and it shouldn't have to be that way- but it is. From what I know, a regular power chair can not go on the plane because it is over the weight limit. And it takes an extra amount of planing to make sure there is a chair service where you are, when you can get a chair etc. So then the question becomes how can people like myself travel around the world at ease. Shipping a chair is just not reasonable - by the time the chair gets there your trip will be over. It's stupid. OR what if the chair gets delayed and then when you travel your without a chair and the possibility that there might not be a chair for you to come home to. There should be handicap seats or accessible seating somehow on a plane, its 2019 things are so accessible everywhere else, why not on an airplane?- there has got to be a way to include all. I and many others are left out from an experience or opportunity because something isn't accessible or easy to do. Imagine being left out of of something you love or want to do. It sucks and there needs to be a change.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
