Nashville is known for its hockey, music, and even eats.

If you just so happen to be going through Nashville on a vacation, passing through or you're even a local trying to find some places you wanted to try, here are some of the best eats in Nashville.

1. I Dream of Wenie

I Dream of Weenie is rated 4.7 stars and located on South 11th St. Their hot Dog prices ranging from $2.75 and up. This Hot dog stand has creative and classic toppings with super cool and vintage feel due to its old school Volkswagen bus.

2. Five Points Pizza

Five Points Pizza is rated 4.7 stars and located on Woodland St. Serving Pizza by the slice for $3 and one slice is as big as both of my hands!! No matter what day or time I go, the pizzas are always hot and fresh. Favorite slice- Pepperoni. Never have I ever tasted a better pepperoni pizza before I tasted Five Points. Never.

3. Calypso Cafe

Calypso Cafe is rated 4.5 stars and located on Charlotte Ave. HEALTHY. This place is actually Nashville’s #1 healthy restaurant. It was voted ‘Best Lunch” and “Best Cheap Eats’ by The Tennessean. The prices range from $2-$20 dollars. Super good and filling without weighing you down! You must try their bean and corn salad!

4. Bartaco

Bartaco is rated 4.5 stars and located on 12th Ave South. With these tacos starting at $2.50 each, they can’t be beat. Authentic tacos both classic and inventive. Super cool decorations give it a beachy vibe. If you want tacos (and tired of Taco Bell) go visit them!

5. The Pharmacy

The Pharmacy is rated 4.5 stars and located on Mcferrin Ave. This burger joint is absolutely amazing. I mean, literally no other burger restaurants matter but this one. The burgers range from $9 dollars and up. You can choose from your classic cheeseburger or get one that has Stroganoff or chili on it. You can not go wrong. The best part, the burgers are 100% Tennessee beef and the beer menu has local brews too! Go Tennessee.

6. Seafood Sensation

Seafood Sensation is rated 4.3 stars and located on Jefferson St. The food here is sensational! This place is a hole in the wall spot serving up complete scrumptious plates of seafood. So full of flavor and not a bad price. You can get Shrimp or Alaskan Snow Crab platter with lots of veggies for $15 dollars, eat, get full and STILL have enough to eat the next day. Pretty good bang for your buck.

7. Husk

Husk is rated 4.3 stars and located on Rutledge St. It’s Southern, it’s historic and their menu changes daily (so you know the food is always fresh). It is a bit pricier but this spot is makes for the perfect date night. Husk’s food is filling and tasteful.

All in all, If you so happen to be out in Nashville while hungry...do yourself a "flavor" and check out one of these spots!

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
