Moving is always a stressful time for everyone no matter how much you prepare and think ahead for it.

Personally, I hate moving because of how things always seem to grow legs and run away from me. This is why I thought I would write some of the tactics I utilize to help at least some of you moving-haters out there, after all we have to stick together.

The first thing I always do before I even think about starting to pack is writing a list. Don't even bother trying to organize in the beginning; just get your thoughts down on the paper first.

After this, figure out what on the list is not necessary to your everyday life and start setting the non-essentials aside. This will help lessen your stress and give you time to think about what you truly need. Most of the time I always bring at least one or two items that are never put to use, but once I started to use this tactic it helped me pack less and bring that items that I need.

A major part of packing is know what space is going to be available to you when you arrive. If you bring too much this is going to cause problems and clutter up space that you could be utilizing for other purposes. So, while all your potential items are sitting aside, stop and think about where you would store this item and how much you would truly use it.

Finally, do not pack essential items such as your toiletries first. This will cause you to start going through your packed items which could potentially cause you to take items out and then forget to repack them. What I do to prevent this from occurring is to pack your toiletries and other daily essential items away the day before you leave. To make sure they are packed, put a sticky note on your bathroom mirror or wherever you frequently go. Because you are packing away most of your necessary items, put aside a outfit, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, hairbrush, medications, and whatever else you may need.

This will help you remain organized and not feel rushed.

On a side note, if you are flying make sure to pack in your carry-on an extra set of clothes and pajamas. Although it sounds odd, it could be potentially helpful in case your luggage gets lost.

I hope that this article helped you at least a little bit and helps relieve some of the stress moving entails. Thanks for reading!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
