Alright, ladies and gentlemen, the time has come once again for this writer's favorite holiday next to Christmas. Three words. April. Fool's. Day. In my family, April Fool's Day is a time-honored tradition in which we play some of the best, harmless pranks on each other (although usually it's on my dad because he's uber organized and we don't necessarily play them on my little sister). From replacing the white stuff in Oreos with toothpaste to even mixing up my dad's sock drawer, you could say I've had my fair share of pranks. However, there are far more creative people than my mother and me. So I searched the Interwebs for the best, most creative pranks that anyone could think of.
WARNING: Please prank accordingly. Don't prank people you don't like or else you'll being staring down a mean ol' lawyer in a courtroom.
1. Clementines in a Krispy Kreme Box
This one is brought to you by fellow Instagrammer, @susanhennes. She brought a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to her exercise class. But instead of the heavenly creation that is Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the box, there were Cuties Clementines instead!! This is a great prank to pull on your coworkers or your study group because it's a “cutie".
2. Bound Gag
This one is cruel and unusual. But it's great for that person who is always on their phone. For this joke, you're going to use a bunch of rubber bands. And when I mean a bunch of rubber bands, a mean a lot! Once you have all your rubber bands, proceed to wrap them around your victim's cell phone. (Note: It's best to do this prank where they can't see you wrapping their phone.) After you've done that, call them and watch them freak out while they try to pitifully unwrap their phone.
3. Pulling an Ellen
Now, this is a good one to pull on one of your really good friends or co-workers. If you've ever seen The Ellen Show, you'll know that she loves to scare people, especially Taylor Swift. First of all, you're going to have to find a really good hiding space. If you're in the dorms, hide in the bathroom or in your closet. If you live off-campus, use your coat closet (if you have one). Get very, very low where no one can see you and pop out! Your roommate/victim will be scared to death. Well, hopefully not to death. Maybe just get them to faint.
4. Anything Involving Jell-O
Let's be honest, Jell-O is one of the most interesting things you can make and it's a great party treat! It's also great for pranks as well. Have a fake eyeball? Put it in Jell-O and give it to your friend. Have a roommate who always forgets their key? Take their key and put it in Jell-O! Like I said, you can do anything with Jell-O. However, try not to put anything that isn't waterproof in Jell-O, like a cell phone. Hiding a cell phone in Jell-O is just cruel.
