The pictures are all over the internet. Hurricane Harvey has hit Houston and has hit the city very hard. The pictures of the destruction of the the storm are endless, and we should be thankful that we are not in the way of this devastating storm.
The storm formed over the Gulf of Mexico and eventually made its way onto the land of Texas as http://weather.comweather.com reported it. As it developed, it became a category 4 hurricane and I can still feel its effects in Johns Creek, GA. This hurricane is a serious threat to the people in its way. The casualty count according weather.com in the Texas https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2017/08/30/worst-fears-have-been-realized-family-found-dead-in-van-swept-away-by-harvey-flood/are is already very high and people in that area should be prepared for the worst. Many charities, such as the https://www.redcross.org/donate/hurricane-harveyAmerican Red Cross, are already gathering resources to help the city of Houston recover from this devastating natural disaster. Everyone should chip in and give some resources to the people who need it more than we do. Hurricanes have already done damage to cities like New Orleans and the city is still recovering to this day. We cannot let this happen to another city and it is our job as American Citizens to help out our fellow man and help the people who would have helped us if we were in their situation.
