The holiday season is a time of fellowship, giving, love and general happiness. It is a break from the constant strife and division we face every day.
We spend time with family, donate to charitable causes, and are just generally nicer to each other.
Everyone (briefly) forgets how divided we all are to celebrate the holidays with family and friends.
Immediately after the holidays, we go back to our routines and back to our divide.
We stop caring for each other.
We forget how to be nice and understanding to each other.
This year, after the holidays, remember how you would have treated that person during the holiday season. There does not have to be a special occasion to treat someone nicely.
Remember that there is more than unites us than divides us.
Remember the joy and other positive feelings of the holiday season for the rest of the year.
