We all know and love Hilary Duff for playing the role of Lizzie McGuire and going through totally relatable tween drama. She got even better when the Lizzie McGuire movie came and took us by storm. I’m still waiting to jet off on a Vespa in Italy by the Trevie Fountain. I don’t believe anyone who says they weren’t stoked when they saw Netflix release the Lizzie McGuire movie.
But what was the best part about Hilary Duff? Her music debut of course. Did y’all know she still sings to this day? That’s right; she sings a song featured in “Younger” the show she recently co-stars in.
Now let’s throw it back to 2005.
1. Wake Up
If this was not the original song you listened to when getting ready with your friends then I don’t know what was. So grab your girls and put your makeup on this Saturday night.
2. So Yesterday
Bad day? Bad week? It’s so yesterday!!! I still listen to this song when I’m having a bad time because not only does it remind me that tomorrow is a new day but it also takes me to a better time in life when I wasn’t juggling a million things and I could just watch Disney Channel all day.
3. Hey Now
Probably the most iconic Hilary Duff song is this jam right here. This is what dreams are made of y’all.
4. Why Not
Have you ever debated on doing something but kept finding excuses not to? Sometimes you just have to think, "why not." Go on and jam out to this.
5. Come Clean
If you didn’t sing this at the top of your lungs were you ever really a Hilary Duff fan? You know this song wouldn’t be complete without its music video either. It made it that much more dramatic and empowering. This is also my current jam for 2018.
Whether she sang some of these songs as Hilary or Lizzie we know all of the lyrics to all of these songs. So pull out your hairbrushes and have a throwback karaoke night!
