September has begun and so has school, meaning the fall season and all its beauty is on its way! Living in Michigan, I had always dreaded the colder seasons, I wanted to live in the sunshine 100% of the time. Recently, my feelings have changed and now I can’t wait for the chilly weather and fallen leaves. I mean, come on, oversized hoodies and huge piles of colorful leaves to jump into, what could be better? I mean obviously, if there was a dog involved but besides that point, fall is definitely the best season.
One of my favorite places to go is the cider mill and pumpkin patch. Waiting in the line that wraps through the barn and out the door is so worth the cinnamon sugar donuts and cider slushies. Last year I didn’t go to a single cider mill and I didn’t carve pumpkins, so I am very determined to make this season the best one yet.
The cider mill definitely is the basic fall date hot spot. I mean I think every girl has suckered their significant other into going to the cider mill for the cute pictures on the tractor and wagons, and of course being cuddled up on the hayride out to the pumpkin patch. I swear the cider mill never fails to make good memories.
The next best part about fall is the month of October. I mean scary movie marathons, Pillsbury sugar cookies with the pumpkins and ghosts on them, Halloween, Haunted Houses, football, pie, candy, and hot cocoa (sorry I’m not a pumpkin spice kind of girl).
The list is just full of fun activities and good food to indulge in. I can never understand people who don’t thrive off of the adrenaline haunted houses give you. I mean Saturday nights in the middle of a corn maze with a group of friends has always ended in a good time. The other best kind of night is just lying under some blankets, with a bowl of popcorn, and all the movies from Halloween Town to Annabelle.
It’s so exciting just thinking about all the fun coming in the next few months. Football has already started which is super exciting, I’m very happy it has returned. Saturday afternoons are always fun no matter what team is playing, I mean obviously Spartans come first, but just having football back to watch makes me happy.
Now, this may apply more to girls, but fall is definitely the best season for cute outfits. The knitted scarves and sweaters, to the riding boots and timberlands, just brings in the fall spirit from head to toe.
Lastly, fall ends with Thanksgiving and a huge shopping spree. Good food and good deals, it’s like a big finale to wrap up the great season before winter hits. I mean winter usually sneaks in early, but this holiday really is the icing on the cake to fall.
Fall, I’m too excited for you to arrive and for all the beautiful colors you bring in. Please hurry so the fun festivities can begin!
