If the ghost doesn't like me, at least I'm stuck in a dark-creepy, cold freezer.

You know that weird feeling of staying overnight in a hotel? Yeah, let's double that feeling with a hotel that is haunted. This time we are going to gander on over to good old Wisconsin. The Old Baraboo Inn located in Baraboo, Wisconsin is a hotspot location for the haunted hotel experience.

The Baraboo Inn was established in 1864 and started off as a tavern and brothel. It was also a brewery and winery at one point in time. But the building ended up being closed around 1988 due to a fire. It was closed for fourteen years due to the damage but come 2002 it would have a new owner.

B.C. Farr purchased the 141-year-old building and turned it into a restaurant/bar. He started renovating it in 1998, but what he would come across would be far more interesting than the interesting itself. Multiple people have died during its time such as three prostitutes and two former owners.

During the time Farr was restoring the building paranormal incidents started to happen. Lights would flicker off when the crew would be finished for the day and would be found turned on the next morning for the crew. Objects would also be found in different places than where they were left.

So far, at least the ghosts are friendly. #goodghouls

When the upstairs apartments used to be rented out, renters would report to the owner hearing loud honky-tonk and old piano music, sounds of people laughing or talking. There have also been rumors of dishes, cups, and utensils flying off the storage racks. Supposedly brooms would float across the kitchen by themselves.

Talk about some witch stuff brewing in the kitchen.

But, there is something in the basement that likes to makes itself known. This particular thing will let you know if they like or not by using the walk-in cooler. A presence supposedly waits for the disliked human to walk through the door of the cooler and will shut it then shut the light off. But, if you are liked, the door might open by itself.

There also been sightings of a female dressed as a saloon dancer. She has been coined the name Mary who bled to death sometime during the early 1900s. So, just don't go playing Bloody Mary if you do visit. Visitors have spotted her in the bar area dancing next to the jukebox.

A female also haunts the upstairs area where to teases the living and appears as an apparition. In one case she kept calling a males name during the night and scratching on his door causing him to leave.

Could these two gals be two of prostitutes who died during the time?

Due to the hauntings, Farr seems to believe in the ghouls who haunt his establishment. He has lost renters and employees due to the paranormal incidents. But, Farr doesn't seem to mind the ghosts seeing as how they probably like him due to returning the building to its former glory.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
