Yall it really isn't that hard. Etiquette is quite simple and we have a process that makes it even simpler!!! I promise we did not spend time training with this new system for no reason.

First of all, PLEASE, get off your phone and have an idea of what you want, esp when you see a line behind you. Thank you. I understand you may be ordering from others not with you and that is okay. That is the only necessary time to have your phone out as a distraction.

Second, when we ask for your name, BY ALL MEANS, give us a dang name. Don't look confused and for the love of all things good do not just ignore us and proceed to order. We will ask again. Also, I do not need your full name.

Just one name works, I promise. We just want to be friendly and it's the easiest way to verify you are receiving the correct order. You would be shocked to know what crazy descriptors employees put for your vehicle, like for real why does a gray sedan pull up to my window with the description of a black SUV?

Next, it does not matter if you do not know the dang number for the meal. We know our menu and we also have a picture of all the foods in front of us. Just tell us what you want and how many. You can't just order a nugget or strip meal. We need to know a quantity.

Also, all meals come with a drink!!! Please, I beg you, comprehend the fact that "just a sandwich" is an entree. You can order an entree with a side. Just simply say that. Do not say meal with the "oh, but no drink". It's annoying and the grill guys can't efficiently make your sandwich when it gets deleted over and over because I have to re-do the order.

Also, please do not say "yes I would like a drink with that". Instead, tell me specifically which kind! If you say Coke I will presume to ask you which kind. We sell multiple types of "Coke". We also sell Sweet Tea, Lemonade, Powerade, etc. Just saying you would like a "small drink" gets me nowhere and makes your order process longer than need be.

When you finish ordering, kindly let us know which sauces and how many you would like. We also ask this question for a valid reason. I cannot guess what odd combination you enjoy your meal.

I also cannot read your mind and know how many you need. Why someone needs fifteen sauces for one sandwich and one fry is beyond me. However, if you are not specific we only give one per entree and I'd hate to ruin your day because I follow my company's policy.

Also, we despise when you ask at the window. As you order, you know what you want and how many. Tell your order taker, please. It really speeds up the process and makes everyone's job so much better.

Don't get me wrong. I really love my job. I, along with a majority of my coworkers, just wish we could scream these out on the daily as they happen. Going through the drive-thru really is not a hard task. We have worked so hard to create a wonderful system that eliminates all of the said problems. Just work with us and oh my goodness you'll be amazed at how smoothly the process goes.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
