7 Haikus To Ease You Into Your Post-Break Depression

The period after Thanksgiving break is always incredibly stressful for me. These poems depict my thought process while worrying about finals.

7 Haikus To Ease You Into Your Post-Break Depression

Coming back to school after break is always tough in my opinion. After a nice relaxing week off, I'm forced to get into the right mindset and begin studying for finals. As I begin studying, I'm faced with the reality that these next few weeks are the last chance to bring my grades up.

1. Procrastination

I should have studied

Started a new T.V. show

Finished it also

2. Deadlines

Project is due soon

And I haven't started yet

Will I get it done?

3. Hopeless

Sinking in school work

Never ending stream of tests

Someone please save me

4. Finals

Time is moving fast

Finals are comprehensive

Maybe I can guess

5. What Now?

Haven't studied yet

I have accepted failure

Life will keep moving

6. It's Okay.

Finals are finished

Suddenly it's a new year

The cycle repeats

7. Repitition

Sunday before school

Haven't done my work at all

How predictable

Blue Skies Weren't Always Blue

You don't just start as the person you are meant to be; there is a journey full of ups and downs that mold a person, so this is my journey.

Blue Skies Weren't Always Blue
