Everyone has to take care of their skin whether they have acne or not, and I have always been obsessed with my skin and methods of taking care of it. Korean skin care has always interested me as well as the natural ingredient movement. However, over time I've figured out what's right for me and I'm still tweaking it. Here products that I love to use:

Basic Routine (Morning and Night)

1) Lush's Herbalism

I know Lush is pretty pricey, however herbalism is like magic in a 3.5oz container. It's a daily cleanser that is made from ground almonds and Kaolin, it also exfoliates (thanks to the ground almonds), and it can be used every day. Bonus: for you vegans out there it's vegan.

This goes first in my routine to brush off the dirt and grime from a long day or sleep.

It goes for $16.96-41.95 online, however price vary in stores as well as sizes.

2) Lush’s Fresh Farmacy

This soap is for sensitive skin and can also be used every day, I used it after or before herbalism to get that quick deep cleanse. It’s combination of calamine and tea tree oil can help with acne prone skin and oily skin. It also makes your skin feel like an angel’s bottom. Bonus: also, vegan.

It goes for $11.95 for 3.5 oz online, prices vary in stores.

3) Rose Water and Glycerin

This is literally crack for your skin. After you’ve finished drying your face you can spritz this once or twice for a fresh finish, no need for heavy moisturizing lotions that clog your pores this moisturizes and hydrates your face naturally. It also works as a cooling spray also and lasts for a while at a really cheap price.

Rose water also has a ton of other listed uses, so it's best to keep it on hand.

You can find it on Amazon for $9.68

Finish off with your favorite sunscreen for the morning.

Routine when I’m having a bad skin day

I start off by using either Herbalism or Fresh Farmacy, and then I use one of my various masks. I’m just going to list both of them.

4) Lush’s Mask of Magnaminty

This double-threat cleanser/exfoliant is incredibly soothing and minty, it can sooth any flare up and further exfoliates, just wash off after 5-10 minutes so it doesn’t feel caky. It’s very gentle on skin and can be used every day.

It goes for $14.95- 28.95 online, but also varies in store.

5) Organik Botanik Australian Charcoal facial mask

This non-abrasive charcoal mask also does a great job soothing, hydrating, and detoxing, shouldn’t be used every day because of the charcoal in it. However after 5-10 minutes just wash it off with warm water.

Goes for $14.95 online, but I actually found it in store as lucky find.

Finish with Rosewater.

I bought these all in increments, so don't go spending all at once!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
