"Dancing With The Stars" is a television show that welcomes celebrities of all sorts to compete in a ballroom dance competition to win a cash prize that they donate to a charity or cause of their choice. Celebrities can range from singers, actors, athletes, and public figures. One of this season's fan favorites is Joe Amabile. You may know him better as Grocery Store Joe, a contestant on the most recent season of "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor in Paradise."

Each week, celebrities and their professional dance partners and mentors are assigned a different style of dance to perform. Each style of dance has a very specific aesthetic, therefore, each week brings new challenges and steps for celebrities to learn. Just like the contestants have to learn these new styles, we as everyday humans have to encounter different challenges in our lives. While Grocery Store Joe doesn't get the best scores in the ballroom, he still puts all of his heart and effort into making each week his best performance yet. We can learn a lot from Grocery Store Joe as well as other celebrities that have competed in past seasons.

1. You can survive your Viennese waltz.

The Viennese waltz has been danced since the early 1700's. The style is very elegant and contains a lot of spins on the dance floor. If Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte can survive these spins, so can you. You have the power to find your focus point when things are seemingly spinning out of control. You have the ability to find stability and navigate through troubled times while looking like you know exactly what you're doing.

2. You can survive your cha-cha.

The cha-cha is a Latin dance that is very flirtatious and fun. Just like "Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson can shake her groove thang to "flirt" with her dance partner, you can strut your stuff to make an impression on that special someone. You have more than enough in you to make that first move on that guy or gal you have your eye on. The worst thing that could happen would be that they express they do not have mutual feelings. That is it. It is not the end of the world. You will not die of embarrassment if you put yourself out there and go for what you want.

3. You can survive your jive.

The jive is one of the most fast-paced dances you'll see on the show. It is very technical and has steps that need to be perfectly executed. Just like Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez can learn all of this dance's content in a very short period of time, you have the ability to study and ace your upcoming exams. While it may seem like the content of whatever quiz, paper, or exam you have coming up is impossible to grasp, your brain is fully prepared to cram information into it as you've never crammed before.

4. You can survive your contemporary.

The contemporary style of dance is meant to tell a detailed story and is performed without shoes. Jordan Fisher told the story of his adoption through this performance and you have the ability to tell your story as well. Everything that you do is because of something in the past that you have experienced. Your story has the ability to change the perspective of others and possibly make a positive impact on the world.

5. You can survive your paso doble.

The paso doble is a dance that is supposed to emulate a fight between the bull and the matador. If former Texas governor Rick Perry can battle it out on the dance floor, you can battle whatever challenge is facing you today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or even next year. You are strong and sharp and possess the ability to face the "bull" in your life You will come out on top as the almighty matador.

6. You can survive your freestyle.

The freestyle category is pretty self-explanatory. There are no ballroom rules set in place and the choreographer is able to put whatever steps they want in place. Your life is one big freestyle dance. Do with it what you will. Do not be afraid of what others think of the steps you choreograph. Do not let the fear get in the way of your execution. Make your steps sharp and defined so people know exactly what you want to do and why you want to do it. You are your own choreographer therefore you call the shots.

Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.
