Grey's Anatomy fans everywhere were shocked to hear the news last week that Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) and Dr. April Kepner (Sarah Drew) will be written off the show before Season Fourteen comes to a close. Shonda Rhimes took to Instagram to explain some of the reasoning and offer her statement on the dramatic exodus.

Not only were these two Doctors fan favorites for their lifestyles being so underrepresented among prime time television, but they have experienced so much on the show, and it is hard to see such empowering, strong women leave the screen.

Jessica Capshaw released her own statement talking about her love for the character she portrayed for a whole ten years.

One things fans know for sure, the impact Dr. Arizona Robbins made on Grey's Anatomy was so formative in times of intense social injustice within our Nation. Sarah Drew, made her own statement on how she felt about the inevitable split and fans were saddened to see her own feelings showing through in her heartfelt post via the Notes app in her iPhone.

Like Sarah made clear, the news is very fresh to her as well. It will be interesting to see how the coming weeks turn out. One thing Grey's Anatomy fans know for sure in the midst of this turn of events? Shondaland has to be bringing us something fresh and brilliant!

Now the question has been raised and rumors have begun circulating about how these two beloved characters exit the show, and I suppose we will have to wait and find out.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
