4 Green-Lit Cartoons To Get Hyped For This Season

Animation, if you haven't surmised, is something that I am very passionate about. Given this, I am always on the lookout for the next upcoming shows and movies. I am happy to announce that we have not just one but four new shows coming out that have been green-lit and I am super pumped for each and every one.

1. Infinity Train

Infinity Train

This animated show really has a feel for mystery and adventure! The show is created by Own Dennis and centers on a young girl named Tulip in her journey through a seemingly infinite train with limitless possibilities to find a way. Now it's an expedition to try and find her way home all the while discovering the mystery surrounding the number on her hand. Overall, this show seems to have great promise. The mystery elements of this show make it an exciting watch and from the pilot episode, the show also seems to have a good sense of comedy as well. The character designs are pleasing to look at and the voice acting seems to be just as nice. I am really looking forward to seeing where this show decides to go in the future. I am definitely going to be keeping an eye on the infinite mystery behind "Infinity Train."

2. Amphibia

Amphibia

Personally, I am really looking forward to this show mainly due to the beautiful and promising idea of its world building. This cartoon series centers on Anne Boonchuy, a self-centered 13-year-old, who is transported to Amphibia, a marshland full of frog-like creatures. With a new companion in a young frog named Sprig, Anne will discover what it takes to be a hero and a friend. Overall, this show is especially interesting when it comes to its setting and design. Personally, I think this show is absolutely gorgeous with detailed and colorful backgrounds and characters. It is very pleasing to look at and I can only imagine it will be even more pleasing to watch. I am looking forward to seeing how this visually interesting art style couples with an equally interesting fantasy environment.

3. Villainous

Villanous

I am absolutely in love with this show's character and environment designs! This series follows the story of Black Hat Org. which is run by Black Hat and his team villainous henchmen. Black Hat's company sells evil inventions created by Dr. Flug in order to spread evil, but things usually take a turn for the worst as the brilliant inventions tend to have unforeseen and hilarious consequences. I think this show seems pretty darn promising in just the premise alone. It's always fun when a genre is turned on its head so it's refreshing to see a cartoon centering on villains rather than the heroes. Is this a completely revolutionary concept? No, but it the cartoon's great sense of design and color make it a must see show for the upcoming season.

4. The Owl House

The Owl House

Owl House

I'm always a sucker for stories with magic and the supernatural so this one is right up my alley. This cartoon series centers on Luz, a teenage human girl who accidentally enters a portal to the Demon Realm where she befriends a rebellious witch named Eda, and a tiny warrior named King. Without magical powers of her own, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by becoming Eda's apprentice at the Owl House. This show just seems to have a great sense of overall style. It seems to match it's horror-comedy genre well with an art style that leaves room for creative humor while still being expressive or detailed enough to bring in some really detailed and creepy designs. I can't wait to see how the genre mixes with this art style as well as the overall magic feel of the plot.

Animation this year looks like to be on the rise once more and I cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
