If you haven't yet, go listen to Thomas Rhett's new song, Life Changes.
This upbeat and happy song not only has you singing along right away and gushing over his cute love story, but it also has a deeper message and advice that people should really listen too.
Based on the title of the track, you can assume that the song is about all the changes that have happened within his life. He starts the song talking about his normal college days and ending with the addition of his two, beautiful daughters into his life.
The song really spoke to me, especially the lyrics that said: "You make your plans and you hear God laughing."
I felt like this was perfect to describe my own life and probably many others. I spend a lot of my time planning, planning, and planning. I like to know what's coming. Change always scares me.
However, you can't plan your life! "Life changes," quote Thomas Rhett.
Change just happens. We can try and make so many plans, but that doesn't mean that they'll work the way we always want them too.
I think it is important for us all to know this sooner rather than later in life because we all need to understand that there will always be hiccups in the road. Though the hiccups may be out of the blew and scary, they usually work out for the better.
Sometimes it is hard to see that a large obstacle in your life will help you in the long run because you are to close to the situation. But with more time, you begin to realize that though the obstacle was hard, it made you stronger.
And most of the time you look back and think: "Life changes and I wouldn't change it for the world."
