Here it is once again, the time of the year when we gather with family and say what we're thankful for. It's the time to eat delicious and appetizing foods together and spend quality time with family or with friends because who doesn't like Friendsgiving? Everyone has something that they are grateful for and I just figured why not let you guys see what I've been thankful for this year. And as always, may you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving week.

1. Thankful for an extremely supportive family

They are the real MVP's for taking my late-night calls, not rearranging my room into a new office and sending me money when I'm almost broke. On a more serious note, my family means the world to me and I am so ever thankful for them.

2. Thankful to have a place to live in and enough money to afford meals

Looking at you dining dollars and Commons swipes I don't know what I would do without you.

3. Thankful to have a car that is functioning

In just one week two of my friends have had car problems. I'm thankful my baby is still running smoothly at 7 years old.

4. Thankful for the incredible friends I've met this past semester

This semester was the one to strengthen friendships and create new ones. I'm thankful to have great friends to surround myself with.

5. Thankful that even in loss, my family never waned and become stronger because of it

We had a few losses this year and one was the death of our precious Golden Precious. It was unexpected and very sudden but I'm thankful for the many years we had together.

6. Thankful that I get a whole week off for Thanksgiving

Yesss to no worrying about assignments until after Thanksgiving. I guess working on them the weekend before really helped. Also, the countdown begins to feasting time!

7. Thankful for THE best Thanksgiving meal

In just a few short days I will be feasting for a whole 24+ hours and not have a care in the world. All the sweet potato pie I can eat will be there for me. My mom knows how to cook and I can't wait.

8. Thankful that it finally feels like Fall

Fall brings on the cozy oversized sweaters, fluffy & thick socks, and blankets to snuggle with during the cool nights.

9. Thankful for our Golden Retriever puppy Nikolaj

Our family got this beautiful, curious, loveable boy a few months ago and I am in love. He brings such joy to our lives and I can't imagine life without him.

10. And lastly, I'm thankful to just be alive

With all the horrible things going on in the world today, I'm just grateful I can wake up and see another day.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
