It's four weeks into the new year. Another year of change. Rather, a new shift in presidency for the next four years. Emotions, rebellions, controversy, and protests have been experienced and witnessed since last November. These drastic events have shaken up our nation greatly, making it the most prevalent and rich source of American History. A wakeup call has been voiced not just to our country but to the world.
Speaking from a third-party perspective, I was for neither candidate. Like many individuals, I had (and still do) a variety of mixed feelings about the nation's future. No doubt, this shift in presidency will far be easy or pleasant. Challenges will be faced. Disagreements, new policies, and big decisions will be implemented. Every second of everyday, for the good and the bad, keep faith.
Romans 5:3-4 of the Holy Bible says, "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also knowing that tribulation works patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope." Valuing and respecting the Christian faith, I'm a firm believer in hope, seeing the positive, and perseverance. Most of all, I believe in utilizing God's Word during times of complication, trouble, triumph, and gratitude. Anyone who does not know what quiet times are, they are simple ten minutes of quality alone time in reading a daily verse of the day and jotting down your thoughts and prayer for the day and week. My Bible App. on my phone has been a savior to going about my day and keeping faith, of course. As one of my new year's resolutions for 2017, I believe in turning matters to God's hands. Like in Proverbs 16:9, "A man's heart plans his way but the Lord directs his steps," Proverbs 16:9.
His Word serves powerful. No doubt in that. His word endures to all generations (past, current, present, and future). We all struggle. We all face challenges, changes, obstacles, ups-and-downs, deaths, rebellions, and relapses that bring out the best and worst in us. Sometimes, it can be easily forgotten that we are all human beings. Simply, imperfect human beings. So I say, in times of trouble, complication, chaos, triumph, and a variety of mixed feelings you can possibly imagine, especially during a big shift in American history, keep faith. Seek God and utilize His Word at all times. He is worthy. He is well. He can do things that you cannot possibly imagine. Do it for You. Do It For God.
