I feel happy, overjoyed, all bubbly inside,

tallying up the good not the bad,

remembering those who marked my path,

those who shone a light and were there for the ride.

Friends and family who molded you, shaped you,

taught you lessons and respected you,

armored you, protected you,

in darkness showed you what to do.

The moments that marked the miles,

the people who caused your smiles,

the days that turned into nights of laughter,

the sunsets, fall leaves and the April showers.

The barks and wagging tails welcoming you home,

throwing what you know,

Xi sisters who help you grow,

bigs and littles here for you through rain or shine.

Giving thanks for even the clouds of darkness,

that made you stronger and smarter,

learning from your mistakes,

without these you wouldn't know what was at stake.

Give thanks for:

furry friends,

sorority sisters,

never leaving friends,

helping hands,

unconditionally loving family,

new beginnings,

and happy ends.

Give thanks for yesterday, today and tomorrow,

for the laughter and sorrow,

for summer rain and morning sun,
