This may partly be true because people don't see your posts in their feed as something you repinned; they see it as just another post compared to Twitter or Instragam where everything you post or retweet will be seen by your followers who are following you to follow your life, not to see how you're going to plan your wedding.
If a girl is an avid Pinterest-er, she has a board dedicated to quotes. Some of the quotes are most likely saved to be used later on Instagram as the perfect caption, but there's also all of the quotes that she looks at when she's feeling down. A girl's board that holds her favorite quotes could potentially look like she's emotionally unstable, but maybe, that's why we should be paying closer attention to Pinterest repins.
As a society, we are horrible at portraying ourselves as approachable when someone is feeling depressed and/or suicidal, but if we pay closer attention to lesser known social media's, we could end this stigma.
After each celebrity dies from suicide, people feel the need to tweet or make a post about the suicide hotline, but if we all paid a little more attention to our loved ones, we might be able to save a few more people.
