Everyone knows the usual gingerbread house kit. Comes with the pieces a roof, the sides, random candy to decorate, and some icing. Personally I love making gingerbread houses during the holidays, my . family makes a competition of it every year and every guest that comes by has to pick their favorite. Each year I look at all the kits looking for new kinds like the mini villages or the trains. I think these are the most fun which is why i've created this list of the best gingerbread kits to bring out your creative side this holiday season.

1. Mini Village Kit

Not so different from the regular gingerbread house, except it's way cuter. The mini village kit comes with 4 mini gingerbread houses of different shapes. This one is extra fun because instead of just one house you get to make 4 and use different styles 9if you want) on each to reach ultimate creativity. This Mini Village kit is available at Target for $9.99.

2. Gingerbread Train

The gingerbread train is a much different feel from the usual house. It offers a whole new perspective on the gingerbread making process. The kit features a train with one compartment to hold Santa Claus. Just like the houses it comes with all the gingerbread pieces, icing, and candy to decorate. This train kit is available at Target for $9.99.

3. Gingerbread Christmas Tree

If houses and trains are not your cup of tea, Target also has a gingerbread Christmas Tree you can decorate. It comes with chocolate and regular gingerbread flavor. Like the other kits it includes all the cookie, icing, and candy to decorate with. If you enjoy decorating the real Christmas tree this kit will find its way to your heart. This tree kit is available at Target for $9.99.

4. Ninja Kit

Like all the other options making gingerbread men can also be fun and festive. This gingerbread man kit from Amazon features 4 gingerbread men doing various ninja poses. I thought this kit was hilarious because of how unique the poses are compared to regular gingerbread men kits. The only thing about this one is you have to bake the cookies yourself but it does come with the cookie cutters shaped like the ninjas. This ninja kit is on amazon for $9.15.

5. Beauty and the Beast Castle

Personally I love Disney and all the princess a lot so when I saw this Beauty and the Beast castle gingerbread kit I was hype. The castle kit includes all the gingerbread pieces for the castle, icing, and candies to decorate. It also includes fun paper characters and a backdrop to place inside to replicate the ballroom scene from the movie. This castle kit is at Bed Bath & Beyond for $14.99.

Happy Decorating!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
