In Georgia, snow makes everyone panic or very excited. Georgians panic because the thought of all that white flaking stuff on the ground and roads is frightening. How are we going to drive with all that snow on the road? How are we supposed to drive in 0.2 inches of snow??? However, there is something amazing about snow. Snow means school is cancelled, and now, we can binge- watch Netflix all day. Here's how us Georgians react to the expectations of having snow!

The rumors about snow in a week

Georgia news talking about the heavy snowfall

Snow hasn't even appeared yet so I don't know why every news reporter is exaggerating the amount of snow we are going to get. Don't forget the stupid snow storm names and the serious intense music they add to all their reports.

Should we do homework if it’s going to snow?

You promise yourself no matter if school is closed or open you will do your homework and possible get ahead on the other work. This is a lie that you make to yourself to feel bette about doing your homework at the very last minute.

So, when's the snow coming? It seriously need to hurry up! I haven't seen snow since like last year.

Wondering why your school has not cancelled school tomorrow

Okay so everyone had cancelled school, so why hasn't my county closed school yet?

When your school finally closes school tomorrow

Finally, now I can go to sleep in peace!

Realizing that you don’t have milk, bread or juice in your house

Once everyone finds out about the snow, they go crazy. they go to stores and buy LITERALLY everything. Like chill, it's not like there's going to be five feet of snow.

Going to the store to get some essentials and realizing that people clearly can not drive any faster.

It's literally just raining not even snowing so why can't people drive normally. Everyone's driving like a slow turtle. Honestly. Move it, I have got all the food I need!

Looking outside and you thought you saw snow, but in reality, it was just your eyes playing a trick on you!

WAIT, is that snow? Oh that's false alarm!

Waking up the next day to expect four feet of snow, only to see none.

Literally nothing. However, you have to remember this is Georgia. We experience the four seasons in one day. Oh well, maybe next year!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
