With Fall in full swing, it's time for road trips, sleeping in, and everything pumpkin. These are the activities that make fall fun and everyone has to experience at least once in their lives.

From the simple things of being out in nature to the fun of football and other fall sports, this is what fall is all about. They're the activities that can turn a boring Saturday into a super fun weekend.

Here is the list of the best activities of fall that you HAVE to try!

1. Go stargazing with friends or by yourself.

To most people, this does not sound like the most exciting and when I first heard of it I was not excited either, but it is fun. It is more than just looking up at the sky. It is about getting in touch with nature and yourself. It was a chance to clear your head and get in touch with your inner self.

2. Enjoy a hay ride with friends or a date.

As a person who enjoys hay rides, you have to do this one at least once in your life. Once you get past the fact that you are sitting on hay, you will enjoy this activity a lot. It is a fun thing to do with friends and it can be a romantic thing to do with a date.

3. Have a movie night with friends.

Everyone loves movies! Movie nights are even better with friends. It is a time to get together with friends to laugh and have fun. It is an excuse to binge on candy and junk food.

4. Go tailgating at a football or hockey game.

As a big sports fan, this is one that I look forward too. It is a chance to spend time with people who share the same mutual interest as you. You are there to cheer for the same team and to have a good time.

5. Make your own cornucopia.

The first time I made a cornucopia I was in the first grade, but I later found out it can be fun to make. It's a good decoration to put on the table at Thanksgiving and during the fall. DIY's are a fun way to relax when you start to feel the pressure and stress of the semester coming to an end or when life starts to get to you.

6. Go for a walk on the trails.

The best time to go for a walk on a nature trail is in the fall. The weather is nicer and a little cooler, so it does not feel like the walk is dragging. It is a good time to walk and watch the leaves change. You can experience the beautiful colors and features of nature.

7. Eat candy apples.

Any time of the year is a good time to eat candy apples, but it feels like a fall activity. It has a special feeling in the fall time.

8. Watch the sunrise.

The best part of fall is watching the sunrise on Saturday. It has a unique look and feels in the fall time.

9. Enjoy a beautiful sunset.

The sunset in the fall has such beautiful colors. It serves as a chance to reflect on not only the day but life.

10. Take a nap.

The best part of fall to me is being able to take a nap in the middle of the day. To be able to open the windows in your house and to take a nice long nap is the best part of fall.

11. Go on a hike in the mountains.

Hiking in the mountains is always nice. The leaves are falling and changing which is a beautiful sight, and the weather is also very pleasant. The weather is nice enough to wear jeans and long sleeves without a jacket.

12. Take pictures of nature or friends.

The fall time is the best time to take beautiful pictures of nature. There are various beautiful colors and gorgeous plants in the fall. It feels as if they resemble a sense of peace and new beginnings.

13. Rent a cabin with some friends.

Renting a cabin with friends or with family can be fun for many different reasons. It is a chance to relax and get away from the city. It is a chance to enjoy a weekend without the distraction of everyday life. Another way to make it even better is to make the weekend an "unplugged" trip. No one can use any devices unless it is an emergency.

14. Road trip with some friends.

Nothing beats a road trip with friends. It can be as simple as a weekend or day trip to the mountain. The best part of the road trip is just spending time with friends.

15. Go trick or treating.

The best part of Halloween is when the inner child in us is able to come out for a day. It is our chance to relive one of the best times of our lives.

Whether you go stargazing or go trick or treating, every activity has some kind of joy. The activities on this list can help bring you closer to friends and family, as well as yourself. The best part of Fall is enjoying nature and all the activities help us to get closer to nature. If you never participated in any of these activities, try one! Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
