Dear Freeform,
I want to start by saying that I love that it has turned into "31 Nights of Halloween" rather than 13. If Christmas is allowed to have 25 days, then it seems only fair. Plus, Halloween is so much better than Christmas, and it deserves to be celebrated for the entire month. Maybe I'm a little bias considering it's my favorite holiday, but I was so disappointed when I saw the line-up.
First of all, since when is "Frozen" a Halloween movie? The last time I checked, Halloween didn't take place in the winter. Reindeer are also not a part of Halloween. There's nothing even Halloween related in the movie, so I don't understand why it is included in the line-up.
Some great Halloween movies like "Corpse Bride", "Frakenweenie", "Twitches", "Beetlejuice", and "Ghostbusters" were left off the list. What really bothered me is "Casper" and "Halloweentown" were left off as well. How are you going to leave off two movies that are completely based on Halloween? One of them even has "Halloween" in the name!
Some other movies included on the line-up shouldn't be on there either. "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory", "The Parent Trap", "Despicable Me", and "Bolt" are not Halloween movies and shouldn't have even been considered to be on the list.
If you're going to make a "31 Nights of Halloween" line-up, at least make it a good one with some decent movies. Don't forget some fantastic Halloween movies and throw in ones that have nothing to do with the holiday. If you're going to do it, at least do it right, and don't disappoint Halloween-lovers like myself.
Sincerely,
A Disappointed Fan
