Forgive me Father, for I have sinned against you

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Please forgive me Father for I have sinned against you. Please help me repent and do no harm to anyone I come into contact with. I pray that you guide to forgiveness and move past this dark spot in my life.

This is my first open pray to God. This is my first time admitting my wrongs to God and hoping to receive something more than forgiveness but acceptance of my wrongs and praise for my rights.

Forgive me Father, for I have said horrible things about people whom never did any wrong to me. Forgive me for spreading rumors, false allegations, and lies about someone who I know were not true. Forgive me for everything I did against people who did no wrong to me.

Forgive me Father, for I speak negatively about others I find inferior to me. Help me see past this stage because I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel but rather another tunnel of darkness that seems to have no end. Forgive me for cheating to the light and not embracing the darkness.

Forgive me Father, for why I speak so poorly to my parents. I often question why you are stripping my father of his memory, of his life, of his own mind and I sometimes cannot forgive you. My father is fading away in front of my eyes and you are forcing me to accept a life I cannot face without you. My father cannot remember simple things and it destroys me at some points because I sometimes I know if I spoke better, if I prayed better, if I believed better, he would not be in this state. You ruined my mother’s knees, her aching heart, and her family. If you forgave me sooner, if I prayed sooner for forgiveness, this would not be happening. Forgive me Father for what you are doing to my parents, who I hold as high as you. Please forgive me Father.

Forgive me Father, for when I use a foul mouth against my sisters and others. Forgive me for when we fight and I cannot forgive them even if they apologize. Forgive me for when I spoke ill about others and said crude words with no meaning behind them. Forgive me for when I wish horrible things on others for no reason at all.

Forgive me Father.

Pray for me, heal me, help me, save me, ruin me, bound me by my wrist and ankles and nail be to a cross so you can just show me how much you forgive me.

God has done things to my family I question every day and sometimes I do blame myself for not loving them enough, not caring for them enough, not wanting my family enough. My dad’s memory is slowly fading into oblivion and I still question why God has done this to me family. My mother is one argument away from a heart attack and I still question why God has done this to me family. My sisters and I are one fight away from never talking to each other never again. My life is one bad mistake away to my parents seeing who I really am. Forgive me for all the horrible stuff I have done for the past eighteen years.

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned against you whom I should take for granted above all things in life. Thank you for helping me this far, take me further God for I need it.

Amen.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
