Having role models and inspirations is never a bad thing. In fact, I believe it is an important part of finding yourself, figuring out your style, and your lifestyle. I feel like in today's society I always hear people making fun of influencers, bloggers, YouTubers and any sort of non-traditional job that has been created through the use of technology and social media as "not a real job". But, they are real jobs. Their job is to inspire and influence, and I believe a vast majority of them do just that.
Especially in my age group (I am 19) and college students, we are all essentially trying to figure ourselves out. We are away from home for the first time, get to try new things, pick a major, and figure out how to style yourself and your apartment. We need guidance. We look for people to inspire us, influence us with good decisions. Granted, we shouldn't bow down to them and take their word for gospel, because they are normal people just like us. They do have a good understanding of themselves and they're style and can help push us to find the things we want to incorporate not our daily lives.
Though it isn't logical for everyone to drop what they're doing and try to become an influencer, social media is a powerful tool. You can post your beliefs, feelings, goals, progress, and life on social media and I'm sure it would reach many people that are interested in what you have to say. You might even be able to influence and inspire other people just by being a normal person.
Never be embarrassed to fangirl and admire certain people on the internet, that is life now. That is how we grow ourselves and how people grow their businesses. It is important now to have options and tools to understand yourself.
