It is more than just a sandwich shop.

Firehouse Subs

Firehouse Subs is pretty much the superior meats to Subway. While it is less customizable than Subway, the quality makes up for it. Here is what your favorite Firehouse sub says about you

1. Hook & Ladder

You like to keep it classic. You stick with what you know best and try not to change up your life too drastically.

2. Firehouse Meatball

You are sometimes classic, but can also be sweet & spicy just like the Firehouse meatball sub. It takes you a little longer to warm up to people, but once you know them, you are 100% there for them.

3. New York Steamer

You have an old soul. You just can't seem to keep up with what is hip in today's society, but you are defiantly okay with that. You are content at just living your best life without needing to keep up with modern trends.

4. Turkey Bacon Ranch

You want to spice up your life a little bit with the classic peppercorn ranch and cheddar cheese, but you still remain humble like the turkey meat. You are rooted in your family traditions but are not afraid to march to the beat of your own drum.

5. Club on a Sub

You are a little shy and reserved, but are not afraid to step out of the box once you are comfortable in that situation. You are also the "mom friend" who is able to step up and help your friends who happen to be shyer than you.

6. Steak & Cheese

You are a wild child and not always the most put together. However, you are the glue that manages to hold your friend group together and while you are wild, you still manage to have a level head.

7. Engineer

You are strong and in charge. You know exactly how you want to handle a situation and do it, regardless of what others may think. Whatever comes to mind is what you say, even if that may sometimes backfire on you.

8. Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket

You like to think you are wild and extroverted, but in reality, you are still unsure of what you really want out of life. It is not a bad thing, it just takes you a little longer to really think out and plan your next move. Sometimes this helps you from running into trouble later.

9. Hero

You have a big heart, just like Firehouse's biggest sub. You always can see the best in people, even if they cannot see it within their selves. You are always there to be people's biggest cheerleader in life and only want to see your friends succeed.

10. Italian

You sometimes question your decisions, often leading you to second guess yourself a lot. Often your gut reaction was the right decision, but you talked yourself out of it. While this sometimes hurts you, it allows you to be able to weigh your options in life effectively compare to others.

11. Spicy Cajun Chicken

Some people think you have a short temper or are hotheaded. In reality, it just takes you a little longer to trust people. New environments put you on edge a little, but once you are comfortable, you are really able to open up.

As always, Firehouse > Subway, and you don't have to @ me about that.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
