The end of the semester is crazy whether you are a freshman or a senior. You’ve got deadlines up the wazoo, finals to study for and all while trying to maintain a social life and your sanity. It can be difficult to do but its something that everyone experiences that never seems to get easier. We always know that it’s coming but tend not to accept it until the very last moment.

It's a time of relief and stress, mostly just impatience to get the semester done with and start summer.

1. When you realize that the semester is almost over

This realization comes with intense celebration and relief. You've realized that you've almost completed another, or your final, semester. Summer freedom is around the corner. So is sunshine and good times.

2. When you realize that you still have to study and take finals

When the secondary realization hits and you remember that you still have to study for finals...and take them and hopefully pass them. This always ultimately cuts the celebration way too short and sending you into panic mode.

3. When your professor insists on giving you homework on top of having to study

Really? I understand that it's supposed to prepare us for the final, but it's just stressing us out and you realize that we do have other classes right? We have at least three classes worth to study as well as your homework to do. Ok? ok.

4. When you realize that you have more than one final on the same day

When you finally look at the finals schedule and you realize with a sinking feeling that you have not one, but two finals on the same day. Which means that you'll have to double up your studying for that day. It's simultaneously a huge relief and a massive amount of stress. The upside is two finals will be out of the way.

5. When you realize that one of your finals is a take home

This leads to a huge amount of weight being lifted off your shoulders because you can take the final at your own pace and not have to worry about the clock. Or maybe you just have to write an essay, either way, you can finish this final from the comfort of your own room without changing out of your pajamas. It's a small blessing in the hell that is finals week.

6. When the professor goes over what will be on the final and you don't recognize any of it

But you pretend that you do and then make a note to reread every chapter that you can, maybe even borrow a friend's notes to help you. If all else fails, you can meet with the professor or a tutor if need be.

7. When your friends wanna hang out but you have to study

When your friends wanna hang out but you can't because you have to study and you're torn because you miss your friends and you want to hang out, laugh and have a good time. But the overwhelming weight of responsibility hangs over you and you have to decline.

8. When people ask you how long you're gonna study for

Like, duh. I mean, if you wanna pass your finals then you have to study....all day. Well maybe not all day, maybe a few hours or well maybe an hour. You'll just study as much as you can.

9. When you wake up and realize you have to actually take the final

Maybe you wake up leisurely then it hits you all at once. That today you face the ultimate challenge, what you've been working towards all semester and it hits you like a truck. But you take a deep breath, tell yourself, "You've got this" and march into that final ready for war.

10. When you sit down to take the final

You sit down at the table or desk, take a deep breath, ask the universe to help you out as you wait to receive the test. When you finally get it, look it over and then think maybe, just maybe it wont be that bad.

11. When you leave the final

You stagger out feeling drained like you've just won the battle of the lifetime you've left everything on the battlefield and done your best. Now it's up to the universe to help you out in whatever way it can.

12. When you find out that you passed all your finals

When you finally build up the nerve to check your final grades and you see that by grace you have passed your finals and successfully finished another semester and now you are free to chill for the summer.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
