The Final Weeks Of A Semester As Told By 'The Office'

The final weeks of a semester in college are equivalent to fighting for survival. If this is your first time going through preparing for finals, like myself, you have most likely been procrastinating or staying up until three in the morning trying to finish at least part of an assignment. For those of you who are pretending finals week does not exist and are continuing to watch Netflix (it's ok to be guilty), here are the last weeks of a semester as told by the Office.

1. Not exactly knowing what the assignment or test consists of

What were you exactly doing when the assignment was explained? Sometimes you may just not remember or want to find out. It's probably time to ask one of you friends what's going on.

2. Realizing you spent way too much money

There comes a point in time when everyone realizes they spent a good portion of money on food and Uber. It's not usually fun.

3. When the teacher assigns something last minute and asks for questions

You might make the teacher second guess asking if anyone has questions. I may suggest waiting until after class.

4. Secret Santa comes around and consumes way too much of our time

Honestly, this is the best situation to ever happen to a person.

5. Waking up extremely late and realizing you have less than 5 minutes to get to class

Professional tip: take the stairs.

6. Using food to solve all of your problems

It is truly never too early unless the soft serve machine isn't open yet.

7. When people take peer reviewing too seriously...

There's always that one person that says you should completely start over and then everything goes downhill from there.

8. Everything suddenly becomes dramatic

You're not going crazy. It's finals and the end of year getting to you.

9. When you're the only one doing work for a group project

Group work is group work for a reason ... no one wants to be the only one finishing a project the night before.

10. Procrastination at its finest

We all do it although we shouldn't. "Did we have anything due tomorrow?"

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
